Part 25: Acuity Lakefront and Snowpoint City.

Part 25 is Acuity Lakefront and Snowpoint city. The most northerly point of Sinnoh.

Acuity Lakefront
Acuity Lakefront is the northernmost lake. The snow in the picture below is there because I forgot to stop the snow before making the land. This was only after a few seconds and, well, look at it.

This is based on the lakefront from the Platinum version of the game, because it's more complicated.

If this lake looks familiar, that's because it is. It is Valour lake. All three lakes in the region are the same so it saves time to clone them.

The trees need to go as I'm using different trees here.

The only thing that is different is the 'picture'/puddle mosaic in the floor.

The leaf surrounds are snow to match the landscape.
Trees, whatever.
And snow.

Snowpoint City
Snowpoint City is the most remote city on the Sinnoh mainland. It is also the only legitimate way to get on a boat and access the Battle Zone.

The city is said to be shaped like a snowflake.

Snowpoint Temple
Snowpoint Temple is off limits until the player in the DS game gets the National Pokedex. But you won't need that here. You can enter any time you wish.

It is an old stone building with five undergound levels.

Five large rooms all with their own unique set of puzzles to get to the bottom.

These kind of puzzles where you slide across the floor.

Now back to the overworld where all the trees are grown.

Now time to cover the are with snow. I replaced air with one level snow layers. I think it's a bit too much snow.

Snowpoint city is a port for cargo. It's a tiny port but a port nonetheless.

Part 24: Route 216 and 217

Part 24

For this post I'll be combining both Route 216 and 217 because they are both very similar. This is the first route to have a cold biome.

Setting the Cold Taiga biome changes the colour of the grass to a more bluish hue. It also makes the water freeze.

The entrance to the route from Mt Coronet is perfectly leveled so the lowest point of the route does not go below sea level.

'/weather rain' makes it snow. This is a snow covered route in the DS game so it would be appropriate to do the same here.

Snow. Some snow had to be placed manually such as underneath trees.

Time to stop the snow as a new route needs to be built. Route 217 is a very open route. There are very little obstructions.

There are two houses on the way. In the DS game you can get slowed down a lot by the varying differences in snow depth. It's difficult to map it out and replicate the effect here in Minecraft so we are going without unless I find a way.

Trees.

Now we ca let it snow.

Unfortunately the grass cannot be grown in snow covered grass or have snow fall on them making their presence quite prominent.
