Part 17: Route 213 and Valor Lakefront

Part 17

Route 213
We once again reach the coast for the first time since Sandgem Town. How exiting.

What is this? The last time animals spawned was when we saw Twinleaf Town. Maybe it was the expanse of land I inserted.

The land however had a major trim. A beach was added and some hills.

On the hills there lies a resort. A resort that watches over the ocean.

This rather ugly building is the entry point to the resort. Plus it's the only way in the DS game to get from one end of the route to the other.

In the ocean there is the usual maze of rocks, sand bars and dirt/rock mounds.

Back in the resort the pool is getting installed. Completed it has a sun bed, umbrella and water.

The complete oceanic maze complete. It looks quite dense but once it gets flooded it looks normal.

 See...

Valor Lakefront
Valor lake or Lake Valor is home to the legendary Azelf Pokemon. The first time the player visits the game Team Platinum had blow the water out of the lake but later on the lake is re-flooded.

If this lake looks familiar that's because it is. It is a copy of Lake Verity on the other side of the region just by Twinleaf Town.

In the cavern the pattern on the floor is different and has been changed to suit.

Tree borders as well as grass and items get placed first before the trees. Trees always get added last.

Part 16: Pastoria City and Great Marsh

Part 16

Before I start I'm going to point out some screenshots are missing after I suffered some slight data loss.

Pastoria City
Pastoria City is a rural location far from anywhere. It is a damp and muddy place that is home to the Great Marsh.

Biomes I experimented with. A swampland biome I thought would be appropriate but it was too dark for my liking.

Great Marsh
The great marsh is the Sinnoh regions safari zone. It is a large expanse of land that has a rail system that lets you quickly travel to different areas.

Though I changed it all back to the normal plains biome it will get changed back to the swampland biome. However for some strange reason I can't get the rail system to work.

Part 15 of 36: Route 212

Route 212

Route 212 is the longest route in Sinnoh. It covers an area of 28,672 blocks (7 64x64 blocks) and links Hearthome City all the way to Pastoria City.

The route is split up into two distinct areas. The north-south legs biggest feature is the Sinnoh Pokemon Mansion. We'll get to the mansion soon. The areas outside the mansion consists of gardens and forest with small lakes.

The east-west leg is a wet swampland/rainforest. In the DS game it is always raining and sometimes there is even a thunderstorm. I'm thinking of putting a command block in at each end to change the weather when the player crosses a border into this area.

The small divets in the mud is where the player can get stuck. The mud is supposed to be thick and glutenous so I've used soul sand because it has a behavior of slowing the player down.

The Pokemon Mansion. It is surrounded by a 4 block thick wall. Inside the walls is a garden and, of course, a mansion.

The mansion holds the same exterior proportions as the one seen in the DS game. The interior has three rooms instead the seven rooms in the DS game.

A cathedral ceiling.

And the Pokemon Mansion complete.

Out the back is the trophy garden. It is a small, elevated block of land within the walls where you can catch some exclusive Pokemon in the DS game.

Final Touches.
