Part 23: Mt Coronet (continued)

Part 23
The continuity of Mt Coronet. This is the connection from Eterna City and Celestic Town to lake Acuity and Snowpoint City.

If you comprehensively explored the map up until now you may have encountered this sign that stated 'Snowpoint City this way but doesn't exist yet'. Well, sadly it's till true. But it's getting closer.

This is the block that contains the ling between Celestic Town and Eterna City. 

This is the the new brick of Mt Coronet that extends north. 

This is quite an angular section with a large lake that consumes the lower third of the cave. 

All lit up as per the DS game. 

And the roof. 

There is a small connector that joint to Route 216 and ultimately to Snowpoint City. 

It is integrated into the main room you just saw before. 

It is a simple u-turn style room.

Part 19: Route 214, Spring Path and Sendoff Spring

Part 19
Something odd happened when I logged on to post this. My past post got 67 views over the course of last week. This may not sound like much but for every week prior I would only get 15 views. 20 if I was lucky. So thanks fr watching and reading. 

Route 214
Route 214 connects Veilstone City from the north to Valor Lakefront to the south. To the west is the remainder of Maniac Tunnel and to the east is Sendoff Spring. 

Adding some uh-oh. MCEdit said double tall grass (base) which never having used it before I thought it was full double tall grass. But when I opened the qorld in Minecraft I was presented by a load of seeds. 

Urrgggggggrrrgrgggggrgrggg. Disposing of the seeds. The fun way. 

2x2 fences. Makes it easy for me. 

Shrinking the fences down. Makes it better for everyone. Yes, and grass and various other pieces of the route have been added. 

Spring Path 
Spring Path is nothing more than a very short path that takes you off Route 214 to Sendoff Spring. Most of the world I recreate using images online with the assistance of the actual DS game (Pearl version) but I hadn't defeated the elite four yet so this and Sendoff Spring was build entirely off online images from Bulbapedia but can also be sourced from your favourite Pokemon wiki.

That is literally all Spring Path is. Obviously it needs trees but that will come later.

Sendoff Spring 
Sendoff Spring is known as Sinnoh's fourth lake. It is off the map in Diamond and Pearl versions of the DS game until the Elite Four have been defeated.

 Sendoff Spring is a sort of crater. I also forgot to mention before that this is where you enter the Distortion World in Pokemon Platinum (I think).

You need rock climb t get to the top and to get to the cave in the crater. 

Playing around with the Super Secret Settings. The trees are being drawn up. 

The cave. The real cave in the DS game is a massive system. You need to walk through at least 30 48x48 rooms before you can get to this room. We don't have the space for that so all you'll be seeing is the final room when you walk in. 

Some sort of elevated pier with unofficial supports. 

Maniac Tunnel
This was supposed to be in the next part but while I had the time I just did it then. This takes you from Route 214 straight to Solaceon Ruins. The tunnel gets longer the more Unown letter you find in the DS game. For your convenience I did the full tunnel. It is 192 blocks long.

Like Spring Path and Sendoff Spring this was also done solely with online images.

Part 9 of 36: Route 203, Route 207, and Oreburgh City

Part 9 of 36.

This update marks the quarter mark of the project.

ROUTE 203
Route 203 is a moderately sized route that links Jubilife City to Oreburgh City via Oreburgh Gate.  It is a simple route which is why I only made about 4 screenshots.

The route ascends over 6 block. 10 if you include the absolute highest level. The eastern side of the route is part of a minor area of foothills of Mt Coronet. 

This route has a small lake but a lot of tall grass. At the eastern end there is a hole in the rock face. This is the entrance to Oreburgh Gate.

And as always, trees mark the completion of a route.

ROUTE 207
Route 207 is a bit more complex than Route 203. It connects to Mt Coronet; one of the major landmarks of Sinnoh dividing the region into eastern and western sides. 

There are two access points into Mt Coronet from Route 207. The main access point leads the player directly between the eastern and western sides. The secondary access point is higher up and is inaccessible in the DS game unless you explore the innards of the mountain.

The vast majority of the ground is covered in brown clay.

Adding final detail such as grass, bridges and air vents (for the non-existent underground) and you could call this route complete.

OREBURGH CITY 
Oreburgh City took much longer than expected to build. Most cities and routes can be build in a day. Oreburgh City took about 3 days to build. 

The expanse of land covers 128x128 blocks.

Despite this only ~40% of the reserved land is used. There are two areas of the city. The main town area to the north. And to the south, Oreburgh Mine.

Oreburgh City Gym. It's a small gym compared to other gyms in the region. It has an underground coal mine theme which comes as no surprise as Oreburgh City is a mining city.

The walls are lined with extremely dark coal blocks. The textures are invisible on my computer screen. All it needs is Pokemon Trainers.


OREBURGH GATE
To access Oreburgh City one must pass through Oreburgh Gate. Luckily this is a simple area, or so it seems. There is not enough space to fit the gate as seen in the DS game in without extensive tunnelling and modification so the gate was shortened to 1/4 of its intended size. 

In addition to Oreburgh Gate there is a bigger cave underneath Route 203 and Oreburgh City. This is an optional place to visit in the DS game and is a place to find some hidden items.

The cave is right next door to Oreburgh City Gym. If you were to tunnel 3 or more blocks east you will end up in the Gym. There is a large underground lake that separates two areas of the cave.

A view from below. It's odd to see a floating piece of land. But it'll soon become more common as more of Sinnoh's caves are built.

The cave is lit with beacons just as a nice change from glowstone lighting.

It fits like a glove. Everything sits flush and looks smooth.

OREBURGH CITY CONTINUED...
The houses of Oreburgh City have quite ugly roof's in my opinion. The houses are an adaptation of the other small houses around Sinnoh. To make it unique to Oreburgh City all the materials were changed to look like the houses in the DS game. 

Cloning the houses to where ever the houses can be found. Oddly in the DS game all the houses had identical interiors. That's what you would find here even in the houses you can't enter in the DS game. I guess interiors will be updated before final release.

The larger buildings are an all new design. They have the same sort of odd angled roof but the buildings have a nice blend of a light blue and iron exterior.

The interiors, like all the houses are exactly the same. I might keep them like this or I might do one up before release.

The upstairs area was a surprise, in a good way. The roof has windows integrated into it and provides a bright and airy feel to the room.

There are three of these houses throughout the city.

Oreburgh Mining Museum. It has a Federal Architecture style (correct me on this, I'm not an expert in this field) with rounded and indented entrance area with high white walls.

The exterior finished. It didn't take long despite it being a bit more complex than other buildings.

I had to move the Museums only exhibit which is a block of coal. It's in the area around the corner from the entrance. Not in the main area as seen in the DS game.

OREBURGH MINE
Oreburgh Mine is famous for expanding right under the ocean. But it doesn't. Directly south of Oreburgh Mine is the Pal Park which is between an expanse of land. So the mine isn't under the sea. 

The minecart tracks. You know you've always wanted to ride them.

An excavator. it's difficult to build vehicles in Minecraft so this was the best I could pull off.

Right in the bowels of the mine is a massive coal block. As a break from tradition this 'room' has wooden beams on the walls and the ceiling as seen in the Platinum version of the DS game. This project so far has been based on the Pearl version of the game.
